Now, everyone who reads this blog already knows me, but I maybe should clarify that this was not a toast at MY wedding. At MY wedding, Mr. Pants (along with Mr. D.) tried to start a "USA! USA!" chant. For which I am equally thankful.
Josh -- I thank you for your very kind words and I appreciate your pimping of my enchanted_pants site. This speech was a proud labor for me on a number of levels.
I personally would not call it a "toast," though, since I didn't raise a glass and since it didn't really have much to do with the couple.
If it's real toasts you're looking for: dl004d, the best man at your wedding and another attendee of this particular wedding, gave a pretty good one.
