Coward returns

I wonder why he's facing the White Sox. Can anyone think of a single reason why he'd rather return against the White Sox? I just can't imagine why he'd rather face the White Sox.

Can we start the "Where is Roger?" chants now?

Coward.

  • What makes him a "coward?"

  • Hard to say. His parents? Schooling? Religious beliefs? We may never know.

What is clear is that a true savior would raise this team from the dead (ha!) and start by facing the team that they're chasing instead of the noodle-bats on the South Side of Chicago.

  • A "true savior"? Who called him that? Are those the only two titles for which he is eligible? "True Savior" or "Coward?"

And isn't it Torre and the Yankee higher-ups who are deciding when and where Clemens will pitch? Do you genuinely think that Clemens went to his bosses and said "You know, I'd rather not pitch against Boston." Seems unlikely to me.

And anyway, at this point the Yankees *are* chasing the White Sox and six other teams for the American League Wild Card.

  • I think it's quite clear that, as far as the Yankees are concerned, Roger Clemens can do whatever the hell he wants to.
