"People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." -- Rogers Hornsby (more stats)
I'm not that excited about it yet. It's like the way that the Olympics has (or had) gold medals for tennis. No one cares. You play to win Wimbledon or the French Open. No one dreams of winning a gold medal in tennis, and no one dream of winning the World Baseball Trophy.

Sure, but if Hornsby had HD with TiVo maybe he could have been distracted to turn his head toward the TV instead.
Meanwhile, are you excited about the World Baseball Championship, or whatever they're calling the 16-nation tournament being held next March?

So unless something has been around your whole life you don't care about it?

Well, I don't get exited about it. I'll watch it if I can, because baseball is better than notbaseball.
