Every team anywhere close to the playoff race sends letters to season-ticket holders to announce pre-sale news.Even the Nationals did this year.It would impossible, as you likely already know, to print and distribute 40,000 tickets on one day's notice. All of it has to be done in advance. The "hubristic playoff ticket announcement" is a non-story.Or, if you think it's a story, then you have to hate about 20 baseball teams per year. And about 90 percent of the NFL.
