I told you so
Soriano, Cubs Agree to 8-Year, $136 Million Deal
Deal Contingent on Physical; Could Be Announced as Early as MondayWashington Nationals outfielder Alfonso Soriano has agreed to an eight-year, $136-million contract with the Chicago Cubs, according to two major league sources, taking away Washington's brightest star and sending the most significant ripple in what is likely to be a free-spending offseason throughout baseball.

I would have loved to have had Soriano back on the Nats, but $136 million is too much and eight guaranteed years is WAY too much. Plus, the Cubs can't just dump him on Baltimore in a couple years because of the no-trade clause.
At least the Nats will get a first-round pick as compensation.

I would just like to point out that what you told me was that there was no way that Soriano was going to make it past July 4th as a National. If my memory serves me correctly, he finished with a 40-40 season as a Nat. So there. :p

My lord, do you know how many INCORRECT predictions I made this year? Can't you give me this one?
February 28: "AL East: BOS, TOR, NYY, TB, BAL"
April 3: "AL Central: CHW, CLE, MIN, DET, KC"
May 1: "St. Louis is not built for the playoffs."
July 21: "NLW: ARI, LA, SD, SF, COL"
August 8: AL Wild Card: The Sox. Just don't know which one yet.
